Dave was a really good friend through our late teens but then lost contact along the way. Sorry we did not connect for so long. Thoughts and prayers to his family. Denis

Dear Family of David, I went through all 12 grades with him in a private Catholic school in Rochester Minnesota. We were on the track team and football team together and after high school we played in the Elks drum and bugle corps parades for a couple of years after high school. I lost track of him until he saw me acting in a film called, “Fearless”, which came out in 1992. I was living with my wife and young son in Eagle Rock, CA. He called me and said he was going to drive his truck all the way to the West Coast to see his aunt, I think, who lived in San Diego. He wanted to stop off and see me, which he did. We spent an entire evening talking, even after my wife and son had gone to bed. He stayed overnight and left the next morning. We had a wonderful talk and we corresponded by mail for the next couple of years, but I never saw him again. I like the photo that you’ve chosen to post on the funeral home site. That’s the way I always remembered David. He was a good friend for a long time. My condolences to his four sons, their spouses and his many grandchildren. My Best to the family, John Towey

My condolences to the family. Dave was one of my closest friends starting from grade school . We had many fun filled times including sport competitions and canoeing. Lake Pepin was a favorite spot to socialize with friends. At our 20th high school reunion, I carried about 100 pounds of some special "bonsai" plant food to Rochester that he could only get from Texas ! I have been blessed to have him in my life.

My sympathy to the family on Dave’s death. He was a very good friend to me at Lourdes. I regret I won’t be able to attend the funeral. I will remember Dave and his family in my prayers.
