Diane Eva Schnitzler, age 73, of Zion, Illinois, formerly of Sheboygan, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was born in Sheboygan on September 9, 1948, the daughter of the late David and Mary Fiedler Repphun.
Diane attended local schools and did food preparation at Pine Hills Country Club and for Sheboygan County Comprehensive Center. She was united in marriage to Gerald Ray Schnitzler in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death in August of 2016. Diane was an animal lover, especially her cats. Diane also enjoyed fishing, Indian Museums and early American History.
Survivors include her brother, Gerald Repphun, of Sheboygan Falls; a sister, Janet Schnell, of Sheboygan; her niece, Nicole (Manny) Kasttilo, of Milwaukee; cousins, Brain (Shirley) Rupphun, of South Carolina, John (Janice) Rupphun, of Sheboygan Falls, Ron (Jean) Rupphun, of Idaho, Mike Rupphun, of Missouri, and Mary (Jim) Pawasarat, of Sheboygan. Diane is further survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A funeral service for Diane will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.
