Judith L. (Meyer) Renzelmann, age 80 of Sheboygan passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday February 18th, 2023. Judy was born December 1, 1942 to John and Virginia Meyer of Sheboygan, WI. Judy attended Holy Name School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1960.

Judy worked for the Sheboygan Press immediately following high school. Later she would work at the Sheboygan Fire Department as a 911 dispatcher until transitioning her career to being a transcriptionist for the Sheboygan Police Department where she retired. She took great pride in working for the welfare of the people in the community she loved.

Judy had a great passion for singing. She began her music career singing in the family trio, followed by singing and competing with the Sweet Adelines and the Gingersnaps. She also recorded several songs written by her father John L. Meyer under the Jupiter Records label. In addition, she sang in the church choir, for worship, weddings and special functions.

Judy was an active member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and Choir, member of the Sheboygan Elks Club, attended monthly excursions with her Red Hats group and continued to socialize with high school friends and the infamous “beer ladies”.

Judy was an adoring mother and grandmother who treasured family time and family get-togethers. She loved being around and watching her grandchildren, devoting countless hours singing, reading and playing games with them.

Judy is survived by her two sons born with previous husband Patrick J. Renzelmann; John (Alyssa) Renzelmann of Sheboygan Falls and Charles Renzelmann of Sheboygan; ten grandchildren Tyler Gordon, Megan Renzelmann, Amanda (fiance, Josh Roeske) Renzelmann, Samantha Renzelmann, Reagan Renzelmann, Charlotte Renzelmann, John Jr. Renzelmann, Chase Renzelmann, Julia Renzelmann, Ethan Renzelmann; great-grandson, Bryce Gordon. She is further survived by her sisters Jeanine Sonntag and Jill (Martin) Crneckiy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Renzelmann; parents, John and Virginia Meyer; brother-in-law, Steve Sonntag.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Judy’s name to the Holy Name Church Choir or to the Judith Renzelmann Memorial Fund.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Judy Renzelmann. As a member of the Gingersnaps Quartet and 1960 Graduate of North High School I have many, many fond memories of Judy. We seldom saw each other once I moved away from Sheboygan, but we did get together at many of the high school reunions and even sang together at some of therm. We stayed in touch some on Facebook. Judy, you will be so missed! I am not able to attend the memorial service as my husband was recently released from the hospital and needs my help at home. Please know that my thought and prayers are with all of her family, as I know how much she loved you all. Rest in Peace, Judy. I know you are singing in the heavenly choir!~
