Karen will be greatly missed. She was always a cheerful, wise, giving, energetic, inspirational, and helpful person during the time I worked at Christ The King Lutheran Church. I was blessed to know her. Brian and Greg you are in my prayers and thoughts. God Bless.
I had the privilege of being on the hiring committee at Trinity Lutheran church in Madison when we hired Karen.
An excerpt from an e-mail we received from her back in April, 2016 – “I am so excited about the possibility of continuing work in a church office. The nearly ten years I have served as Office Manager at St. John’s have been such a gift to me. I have come to enjoy and appreciate the relationships, joys, challenges and the many unpredictable things that accompany daily life in the church office.”
She was a wonderful and fun-loving person, always available and a joy to everyone who met her. She was the front door to our church and displayed a smiling and welcoming face to all who entered. We were blessed to have her. We would go out to lunch a few times just to talk and she always spoke of her love of family, especially her son, Gregory. I have missed her since her move to Sheboygan but always thinking we would get together in the future. Here’s to you, Karen – love and miss you and will meet you in heaven!
I was heartbroken to hear of Karen's passing. She was always smiling, clever and witty, and ready to help me out anyway she could in the church office. I was sad to see her leave for Sheboygan and knew anywhere she worked would be lucky to have her. My condolences to family and friends--you will be in our prayers at Trinity in Madison.
Karen was a wonderful church administrator. She was so kind to all who crossed her path and so skilled at her job. Stopping in the church office and visiting with her for a few minutes was like sitting down for milk and cookies with an old friend. My condolences to her family.
I'm so sorry to hear this. I have fond memories of singing, playing violin, and performing in middle school and high school shows with Karen.
I’m so sorry to hear of Karen’s passing. I have fond memories of dancing with her at The Platteville School of Dance. You all are in my thoughts an prayers.
