Kim Zimmerman was born on August 1, 1954 and passed away July 28, 2026 at the age of 71. He attended and graduated from Norway High School in Michigan. Kim was united in marriage with Sherry Ecker who preceded him in death in 2021 and he married Leslie Beinemann on May 16, 2014. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1972 until 1976. While in boot camp, Kim’s unit marched in Lyndon Johnson’s funeral procession, and he was also working communication when the Edmond Fitzgerald sank. During his working years, he was employed by Shoreline Metro for 22 years. Kim enjoyed playing his computer games and cribbage.
Kim is survived by his wife, Leslie; daughter, Dawn (Steve) Whitney; grandchildren, Laura, Mary, Rachel and Anna; 2 greatgrandchildren and siblings, Mark (Karen) Zimmerman and Scott (Barbara) Zimmerman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Lou; son, Rhyan and brother, Harold “Skip” Zimmerman.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 2:00 p.m. until a time of sharing at 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life is being planned at a later date.

So Sorry for you Leslie and Zimmerman Family. He is now at peace with mom and dad and Skip and Cherie. Kim was and always will be Uncle to my children. He was a genuine soul, full of laughs and compassion for all who knew him. My prayers and hugs for his wife and family during this hard time.
