Marjorie A. Wilfert

Marjorie A. Wilfert, age 90, of Thiensville passed away November 26 at Willowbrook Place. Marjorie was born February 27, 1931 in Manitowoc to the late Raymond and Marie (Schesniak) Schetter. She graduated from Mishicot High School in 1949 and was united in marriage to Ralph Wilfert in 1952 at Holy Cross Church in Mishicot. Marjorie worked at the Paragon Electric Company in Two Rivers until moving to Seymour and then Sheboygan in 1960 to continue her husband’s teaching career. He preceded her in death in 2006.
Marjorie enjoyed country music, gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, baking, reading, travel, concerts, and plays. She became an avid Packer fan in her later years. There was always a big smile on her face and lots of fun laughter when spending time with her family and friends.
Prior to moving to Thiensville, WI in 2020, Marjorie was a longstanding member of St. Dominic Catholic Church where she served in several ministries including pre-school CCD teacher, cup minister, and church greeter. She enjoyed volunteering at the Northside Christian Food Pantry.
Survivors include her son Scott (Kathryn) Wilfert, Boston, MA and two daughters Sue (Kay Hartinger) Wilfert, Glendale, WI and Wendy (Peter Luykx), Madison, WI. Proud grandmother of Amy Bova Wilfert and Naloti Palma. Further survived by sister, Betty Saunders of Two Rivers; sister-in law, Rosemarie Schetter of Two Rivers; along with special nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Hessel; two brothers, Herbert Schetter and Gerald Schetter; sisters-in-law: Margaret Schetter, Shirley Wilfert, and Lucille Wilfert; brothers-in-law: William Saunders, John Hessel, Robert Wilfert, and Harold Wilfert; mother & father-in-law, Martin (Theresa) Wilfert.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Dominic Catholic Church 2113 N. 22nd Street, Sheboygan from 9:30 until the time of Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church with Fr. Mark Brandl officiating. A private burial will take place at the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
