I am a distant relative from Germany and last saw Rhoda with my family in 1997 and 1999 at a family reunion in Watertown and Greenbay. She was always very nice, friendly and interested. We had a lot of correspondence. I'd like to offer my sincere condolences. Walter Kämmer in Germany

Suzy Suring

I have had the honor to be Rhoda's daughter-in-law for over twenty-four years. She was a lady of grace and kindness. Her family was her world and her devotion to her patients as an RN was exceptional. I have fond memories of visiting her in Sheboygan and her trips to visit us in Florida. I will always be grateful to her and LeRoy for the amazing job they did raising my husband.

Angel Markus

Carleen U Schloemer

Our deepest heartfelt sympathy is extended to Lynn, Tim and Suzy Suring, her grandchildren Angel and William, and her great-grandchildren at the loss of their beloved mother and grandmother. Rhoda was the daughter of Ellis and Hortense Speerschneider. Rhoda's mother and my grandfather Walter were siblings and she was a dear " Aunt" in a small extended family. Family lore notes that she and her brother Eben were active, inquisitive children. THey loved playing on the beach of Green Bay. getting into mischief and visiting the family homestead as children where her parents tended a masterpiece heirloom garden. Rhoda was a very special woman, wife and mother. As a small child growing up in Green Bay, Rhoda was my first babysitter and later I was honored to be the flower girl when she married the love of her life, LeRoy Suring. Lee and Rhoda were married for over fifty years. In addition to her career in nursing, than spanned a range from Public health nursing in Milwaukee to a nursing home in Sheboygan, she and Lee owned an office supply store in Sheboygan for many years. They were also active members of the Watertown Yacht Club for many years and loved sailing and hosting guests on their beloved "Rainbow". Rhoda was a kind and considerate woman, always ready to lend a helping hand to others. Following in her mother's footsteps, she also loved gardening, and cooking. She took us under her wing when we moved to Sheboygan as newlyweds in 1974. We loved watching their beloved children, Lynn and Timmy grow up. We will never forget her kindness and love.. She will be deeply missed but is an important part of many wonderful memories. John and Carleen Unsin Schloemer
