John A. Siegworth, age 89 of the Town of Wilson died October 4th, 2023 at Rocky Knoll Health Center.
John was born the son of the late Frank and Christina (Ackerman) Siegworth. He attended Holy Name and St. Peter Claver schools; and graduated from Central High School in 1953. He served in the United States Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton and in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1956.
John was united in marriage to Mary Lou “Ginger” Schin in 1959. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Schultz Sav-O in the warehouse.
John loved to walk and be physically active. Up until shortly before his death, he continued to walk 2 miles a day. He also loved doing jigsaw puzzles and watching the Green Bay Packers. He loved all of God’s creatures and enjoyed seeing wildlife in his yard and on his walks.
John is survived by his son, Tom (Celeste Marchi) Siegworth; grandson, Corry; daughter, Gina Siegworth and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; brother, Frank Siegworth and three sisters, Lorraine McLaughlin, Audrey Siegworth, and Marie Scott.
There will be no visitation or funeral services held. Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Rocky Knoll and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice. A very special thank you to Lynda from Silver Services. Lynda was more than a caregiver, she became family. We have been blessed to have her in our lives.
