Sandra R. (Behnke) Grulkowski was reunited with the love of her life of 51 years on December 26, 2023. She passed away peacefully at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice. Sandy was born April 9, 1951, in Marinette, WI. Her family moved to Sheboygan where she graduated from South High School in 1969. She worked as a hairdresser and cleaned houses until starting at Wigwam Mills, where she retired in 2013 after 36 years. Sandy was united in marriage to David Grulkowski on April 29, 1972, after her grandma made her wait until she was 21 years old. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, making Afghans for family and friends. She also loved spending time baking with family.
Sandy is survived by her three children Tony (Renee) Grulkowski of Weston, Lee and Stacey Grulkowski both of Sheboygan, brother Brian Behnke and a granddaughter Felicia Princl of Weston. Sandy was blessed with her first great- granddaughter Selena this year.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband David, parents Earl C. and Elvina (Hultman) Behnke, brother Earl A. Behnke, sister Karen Behnke and her in-laws Leonard and Florence (Pavlichek) Grulkowski.
Family and friends may gather at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street Sheboygan on Thursday January 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. Fr. Paul Fliss will officiate.
