Charles Burns “Chucky” was called home to God on the morning of December 25th, 2023. He was born on December 2, 1973, to Amy Burns and Trinidad Alfredo Quintana. He was born in Bryan, Ohio but spent most of his childhood in Hicksville, where he got his first job as a bagger at Pick n’ Save. Chucky enjoyed playing little league, spending time in nature and acquired many of his unique skills from attending Boy Scouts. He graduated from North High School in 1992 and was a very knowledgeable and kindhearted man.
Chucky adored his dog, Ali, and had a passion for hunting mushrooms. He held a burning love for his Mexican/Native ancestry & took pride in reaching out to his distant family members. Friends hold fond memories of him collecting designer items and going to The Seven Mile Fair. He enjoyed taking long drives along Lake Michigan. Chuck felt that his purpose in life was to discover more about his lineage and carry on the “Quintana” family name.
He is survived by his mother Amy Burns, sister Mandi Kunstman, his niece and grand-nephew Maria Kunstman & Baby Ryder Quintana-Lopez, nephew Ricky Kunstman, as well as the Shinn/Quintana families and a very sizable community of loving friends.
The family will be holding a funeral ceremony in the near future, followed by a celebration of life.
Please be patient and support them in their time of need.
