Andrew “Andy” J. Seefeldt, age 56, of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at St. Nicholas Hospital. He was born in Sheboygan on June 12, 1967, the son of Donald J. and Shirley M. (Guetschow) Seefeldt.
Andy attended Ss. Cyril & Methodius School and graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1985. He was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan throughout his life. He was employed at HSM Solutions, formerly Spiller Spring, celebrating 35 years last year. Andy loved and appreciated the relationships he developed over the many years at HSM. Developing a work “family” meant so much to him.
In the heat of the pandemic, Andy met Maggie McHugh while grocery shopping at Meijer in Sheboygan. Andy would “forget” how to use the self-checkout, prompting the cute Meijer employee, Maggie, to come to the rescue, each time he went shopping. On Christmas Eve, 2021, surrounded by family and friends, Andy proudly proposed to Maggie. They were so excited to be married in September of 2024. Andy and Maggie spent 4 years together, gardening, raising their chickens/“yard birds”, and spoiling their cats (Boo!, Jaylah, and Nellie) and dogs (Maya, Rafe, and Mamacita).
Andy will be remembered as the ultimate jokester, with even his closest friends and family not always being able to tell when he was joking or telling the truth. He also did not know how to relax and was always on the go. If he wasn’t fishing on Lake Michigan, enjoying the dirt track races in Plymouth, donating supplies to the Sheboygan County Humane Society, or watching a Packer game or NASCAR race, he was serving people. Andy was a helper through and through. He could fix or build anything, and he showed his love for people through his work.
While Andy had many accomplishments, including bowling a perfect 300 game and being an amazing father, his proudest accomplishment was being a loving grandfather to his granddaughter, Olive Mae. He would show off her picture and share stories about her to anyone that would listen. His family will now be flipping the script, telling Olive all the stories about her Grandpa Seefeldt and how much he loved her.
Survivors include his son, Jordan (Kara) Seefeldt, of Janesville; a grandchild, Olive Seefeldt, of Janesville; mother, Shirley Seefeldt; fiancée Maggie McHugh; two brothers, Dave (Jill) Seefeldt, and Mark (Jeanne) Seefeldt, all of Sheboygan. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Andy is also survived by his best friends, Paul Steinbruecker and Billie Weier. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
A funeral service for Andy will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Greendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Andy’s name may be directed to the Sheboygan County Humane Society. A heartfelt thank you is extended to all the first responders that attended to Andy.

Rest in Peace Andy….. 20 years ago when I moved to Wisconsin from Louisiana, you brought me on my first tour of Spiller Spring, and you schooled this fish out of water southerner with what a “bubbler” was, since I only knew that the bubbler you were referring to was actually a “water fountain” to me. I’ve told that story quite often since then, but it takes on a much deeper meaning for me now that you’ve earned your wings to that great bubbler in the sky.
