Suzanne attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1961. On September 28, 1970, she was united in marriage to Russell Rowland in Sheboygan. Russell preceded her in death on November 11, 2011. She was employed as a retail clerk at Unimart, Pranges and Kohl’s department stores. Suzanne also worked in the patient intake at the Sheboygan Clinic for many years until her retirement.
She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan and would volunteer at Neat Repeats in Plymouth as well. Suzanne enjoyed shopping, stamping, camping, and crafting. She also loved to travel with her husband to Jamacia, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Virgin Islands. Suzanne looked forward to getting together each year with her Class of 1961 close friends. She also enjoyed her annual “girls’ weekend” with her nieces. Spending time with her family and friends was particularly important to her, and she was immensely proud of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her two sons, Jason (Misty) Rowland, of Beloit, and Matthew (Dawn) Rowland, of Antigo; seven grandchildren, Alicia, Katie, Rebecca, Nathan, Trayton, Trinity, and Takoda. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister and brother-in-law, June and Fritz Hiebing.
A memorial service for Suzanne will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Pastor Patrick Niles officiating. Jason and Matt No t sure if you remember us but David and I lived next door to your parents on South 21st. Have many great memories of our Christmas round robins and having vodka/lemonades with your mom in our kiddie pool in the summer. Good times! Our condolences to both of you. David and Nancy Beck

Jason and Matthew - Your mom was an absolute delight. Ed and I lived next door to your mom and dad on 21st Street for several years and spent many Saturday afternoons in the backyard having a couple of drinks, telling silly stories and laughing about everything. On the girls’ camping trips, Suzie kept all of us in stitches with her stories and laughter; her laughter was contagious. She was one of the most gentle and kindest people I knew. She loved your dad, you guys, and her grandkids more than anything (thrift shopping was next). She and your dad are together again sharing the love they had for each other for so many years. Jason, Matt and families so sorry for your loss. So many crazy fun times with your mom, dad and gang at Devils River come flooding back. Cherished memories of fun times with wonderful people. Years later Imagine my surprise to find she lived in same building my mother moved into at Maple Dale. A reunion that allowed for another three years of close friendship. Sue’s infectious smile and warm personality will be missed. Rest in peace dear friend.

I met Sue working at the Sheboygan Clinic. She always had a positive attitude and a smile. Despite the 20 year age gap between us we became great friends and enjoyed many, many hours of crafting together. Gary and I enjoyed more than a few STRONG Old Fashioneds at The Devil's River Campground with Sue and Russell. Suzie was kind and sweet and generous. She proved that a true friendship has no limits.
