Arthur T. Mohr, age 82, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at his home. He was born in Sheboygan on July 29, 1942, the son of the late Arthur B. and Mary E. Zupancic Mohr.
He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1960. On January 16, 1964, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Meyers at St. Clement Catholic Church. Arthur was employed at Roundy’s/ Pick ‘n Save Grocery Stores as a produce manager for 35 years and worked at Prange Grocery over 10 years in management.
Art was a devoted family man. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed swimming and water skiing. Other hobbies included working on cars and home improvements, considered a “Jack of all trades”. Art was a musician, and was part of his favorite band, Ron Harrison & the Virginians playing the bass and steel guitar in the 60s.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, of Sheboygan; three children, David Mohr, Denise (Steve) Pfeifer, and her children, Bradley, Evan, Lauren, and Corinne, and Dorinna (Greg) Prahl, and her children, Marissa and Grayson Prahl, of Belgium; a sister, Mary (Dave) Ruppel, of Seattle, WA; sisters-in-law, Alicia (Edward) Englehardt, of Sheboygan, Judi Mohr, of Minneapolis, MN; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Meyers, of Watertown, and Mark Harpainter, of Berkley, CA; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Art was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Douglas Mohr, brother, Paul Mohr, a sister, Pauline Mohr Harpainter, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Dorothy Meyers.
In accordance with Art’s wishes, no services will be held. Art will be remembered for his sweet and gentle nature and his kind smile.
Thank you to the staff at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Art’s loving wife Cheryl cared for him until the end as he dealt with bladder cancer and Alzheimer’s.
