John Arnst, 69, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Morningside Health Services. John was born to the late Gottlieb and Norma (Damrow) Arnst on July 6, 1955 in Sheboygan. He was a graduate of Sheboygan South High School in the class of 1974. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy. John worked the last several years for RCS where he made many friends. He enjoyed playing piano, drums and painting. John was the drummer in his own band where they traveled to play at different venues. John’s idol was Neil Peart, the drummer from the band Rush. John studied Neil and was able to play all of his music.
John is survived by his brother William Arnst, nieces, nephews and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, with visitation at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Sheboygan Salvation Army.
