Allen J. Gross, age 71, of Sheboygan, died on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center. He was born in Sheboygan on October 18, 1953, the son of the late Harry and June LaChapelle Gross.
Allen attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School. On June 13, 1979, he was united in marriage to Ellen M. Ott. Allen and Ellen had two ceremonies, one at the courthouse and the other at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
He was employed at Plenco Plastics Engineering for 43 years, until his retirement. Allen enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, gardening, and watching sports, including the Milwaukee Brewers and Bucks, and the Green Bay Packers. Allen also loved and adored his only granddaughter, Sierra.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen; a son, Brian (Jennifer) Gross; granddaughter, Sierra Gross; and his brother, Dan (Renee) Gross, all of Sheboygan. Allen is also survived by a niece, Kari (Mike) Steffensmeier, and his nephew, Chad (Teresa) Gross. Many cousins, and other relatives and friends survive.
A funeral service for Allen will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Deacon Mike Burch officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
Memorial contributions in Allen’s name may be directed to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Sheboygan. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the Intensive Care Unit at Aurora Medical Center in Sheboygan and St. Luke’s Neuro Care team in Milwaukee.
