Thomas “Tom” Morrelle, age 87, of Howards Grove passed away Saturday August 9, 2025. Tom was born in Sheboygan on September 4, 1937, to the late Emil and Florine (Ellenbecker) Morrelle. He graduated from Central High School in 1955 and then furthered his education at Sheboygan County Teachers College. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. On August 9, 1975, Tom was united in marriage to Deb Wessel at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church. In Tom’s early teaching years, he taught at Random Lake and was the principal at Adell. The majority of Tom’s years of teaching were at Lightfoot School in Sheboygan Falls where he taught and eventually became the director of programs. He was passionate about serving children that had special needs. Tom collected steins, wood carvings, and enjoyed helping seniors with taxes through AARP. He volunteered with the Emmaus Meals at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and loved being a tour director for Moose International Sports Tours.
Survivors include his loving wife Deb of fifty years, sisters Nancy Blake of Sheboygan and Judy Leibham of Sheboygan, brothers Gary (Mary) Morrelle of Sheboygan, John (Jill) Morrelle of Florida, and a sister-in-law Sue Morrelle of Sheboygan.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother George Morrelle, brothers-in-law Roger Blake and Jim Leibham, sister-in-law Renate Morrelle, nephew Matt Hartmann and a special mother-in-law Evelyn Wessel.
Family and friends may gather on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Fr. Paul Fliss will officiate. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
Tom’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Al Meyer and Family, Sam his physical therapist, the staff in cardiac rehab, his Latvian family and the first responders in Howards Grove. Tom will be missed by many very special friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Howards Grove First Responders, Food Pantry at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church or the charity of your choice in Tom’s name.
