Arnold G. Hoeppner, age 79, of Sheboygan, died on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Sheboygan Progressive Health Services. He was born in Sheboygan on May 29, 1946, to the late Arnold and May Chicowski Hoeppner.
Arnold attended Pigeon River and Urban schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1965. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970. On October 13, 1973, he was united in marriage to Karen Kohls in Sheboygan.
He was employed for 28 years at Plastics Engineering working as a forklift operator, machine operator, and a janitor. Arnold was a lifelong member of VFW Post 9156, a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and a current member of Ebeneezer United Church of Christ in Sheboygan. He enjoyed puzzle books, and helping anyone who needed it.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Hoeppner, of Sheboygan; a daughter, Sheryl (Jon) Rupp, of Sheboygan; and his two grandchildren, Stormy and Trever. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dennis Hoeppner, Kenneth Hoeppner, Donald Hoeppner, and Jerome Hoeppner, sisters, Virginia Goetsch, Doris Schober, and Joyce Strysick.
A funeral service for Arnold will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Rev. Lorri Steward officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. VFW Post 9156 will be providing full military honors.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at Sheboygan Progressive Health Services, St. Nicholas Hospital nurses, Preceptor Hospice, and Tender Hearts Senior Care, for the compassion and care that was given to Arnold.
