LaVerne Stegemeyer, age 97, of Sheboygan passed away Tuesday January 20, 2026. LaVerne was born January 29, 1928, in Crookston, Minnesota to the late John and Pearl (Courina) Mulvaney. She was united in marriage to Delbert Stegemeyer on October 26, 1946, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church; he preceded her in death on January 23, 2006. LaVerne was a 1946 graduate of Central High School and was employed at Lakeland Manufacturing and LaQuinta Inn. LaVerne was an avid Packer and Brewer fan.
Survivors include daughters Ladele (Bob) Claybaker of Eaton, OH, Doris (Jim) Wolf, Debra (Michael) Ehaney, Jodell (Ron) Bartelt all of Sheboygan and a son Philip (Connie) Stegemeyer of Sheboygan, 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ricky, brothers and sisters John (Myrtle) Mulvaney, Francis (Harold) Pallaske, AnnaMae (Kenneth) Jurss, Kenneth Mulvaney, an infant sister and a great great-grandson Connor Foulke.
Family and friends may gather at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan on Monday January 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will take place in the Greenlawn Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
