SIGN GUESTBOOK | ORDER FLOWERS AND GIFTSJoanne Loleta Schrank Kluczinske, 93, longtime resident of Sheboygan, passed into the loving arms of her Savior at Sharon Richardson Hospice on February 3, 2026.
Joanne was born in Town Russell, WI, on October 12, 1932. Her parents, Walter and Erna (Nagel) Schrank, moved to Sheboygan, where she attended public schools, graduating from North High School in 1951.
Joanne met the love of her life, Lee Kluczinske, while vacationing on Cedar Lake near Kiel, WI. They were married on June 27th,1953, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
Lee and Joanne were blessed with four children, nine grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. They enjoyed over 51 years of marriage before Lee was taken home to heaven in 2004.
Joanne’s life revolved around her family and friends. Whether at her home in Sheboygan, or at their cabin in Townsend, WI; she loved to settle down with a good book, but gladly welcomed guests for a game of cards, a long walk, or an evening around a bonfire. In her spare time, she volunteered in various roles at her church, Trinity Lutheran in downtown Sheboygan, and the Bethesda Thrift Store in Sheboygan. Her working career was at Citizen’s Bank in downtown Sheboygan for over 30 years, retiring as a Norwest bank employee in 1991.
Joanne is survived by her 4 children, Debra (John) Lawrence, of Sheboygan, David (Marlene) Kluczinske, of Mequon, Denise (Philip) Plesetz, of Francis Creek, and Darcey Bub, of Waukesha; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Wentz, Jeremy Lawrence, Jamie (Kristin) Lawrence, Matthew (Alexis) Kluczinske, Ross (Annie) Kluczinske, Jonathon (Danielle) Plesetz, Tyler (Savanna) Plesetz, Justin Kreutz, and April Bub; and 18 (soon to be 19) great grandchildren, Lauren and Abigail Wentz, Zoe, Madison, and Brookelynn Lawrence, Jayden and Hudson Lawrence, Elizabeth, David, Joanna and William Kluczinske, Mark and Elijah Kluczinske, Ethan, Jaxson and Carson Plesetz, and Eleanor and Oliver Plesetz. She is further survived by her sister Alice (Rudy) Pfister, of West Allis, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She counted as a special blessing that she was alive to witness the marriages of 8 of her 9 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee; two brothers, and lifelong friends, Don and Shirley Covey, and Norb and Carole Duening.
Joanne’s faith in God was fundamental to who she was in this life, and she has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where a memorial will be established in her name.
Joanne’s family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff at Sharon Richardson Hospice, particularly her nurse Hope, for their love and care in Joanne’s final days.
