Francis “Frank” G. Schleinz Jr.

Francis “Frank” G. Schleinz Jr., age 90, of Sheboygan, died on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center. He was born in Sheboygan on November 11, 1935, to the late Francis G. Schleinz Sr. and Violet Schoenenberger.
Frank attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1955. On June 25, 1960, he was united in marriage to Rita Buhl at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton. Frank proudly served his country in U.S. Navy Seebees Reserves from 1954 to 1962.
Along with his father and brother, he was the owner operator of Schleinz Standard Service Station on South Business Drive for 30 years. Frank then went to work for Acuity Insurance for more than 20 years, retiring in 2010.
Frank was a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, riding ATVs, and watching the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers. Frank also liked to do yard work and spend time up north at the cabin in Elcho, WI.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Schleinz; two children, John Schleinz and Ann Schleinz; and a sister, Joyce Dortman, all of Sheboygan. Many other relatives and friends further survive. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1305 Humboldt Ave., Sheboygan with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m.
I lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Frank’s name may be directed to Breakthrough TD1 (formerly Juvenile Diabetes Foundation). A heartfelt thank you is extended to the Aurora Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff for the compassionate care given to Frank.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked at Ashland Ave piggly wiggly in the 80's and got all of my gas from him. He was such a kind man.
