It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jason Troy Landgraf, who died on April 12, 2026 at the age of 48.
Jason was a devoted husband to his wife, Sara, with whom he shared nearly sixteen years of marriage built on love, partnership, and quiet understanding. Jason’s young daughter, Libby, brought light and laughter into his life. They adored each other immensely. He was a proud father to his sons, Sean (Katie) and Andrew (Brianna) Landgraf, and was overjoyed watching them become amazing husbands and fathers. Jason was also a loving grandfather to Reli, Saylor, and Rowan. They will all carry his memory forward in their own unique ways.
Jason is survived by his sister, Jennifer Smith, and his niece, Rilynn. He is also remembered by a loving extended family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as close friends he had since childhood. In addition, he leaves behind his former spouse, Melissa (Shawn) Soucheck, with whom he shared his sons, Sean and Andrew.
Jason’s passing follows that of his beloved parents, Carl and Cathy Landgraf, who left us nearly 16 years ago. His memory will now join theirs, as well as the memories of his cherished grandparents and his brother-in-law, who also preceded him in death.
Jason worked at the Vollrath Company for 26 years, where he was a dedicated and proud member of UAW 1472. He believed strongly in the value of hard work, fairness, and standing alongside his fellow workers. His job was more than a paycheck—it was a source of pride, identity, and community. He respected the tradition of union labor and the idea that people look out for one another, and he carried that same loyalty into his everyday life.
In his free time, Jason found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially while fishing or playing disc golf. Whether by the water or out on the course, these were the moments when he felt most at ease, particularly when shared with others. He especially treasured time spent with Libby, including watching her reel in the big fish on Lake Winnebago.
Jason had a deep appreciation for live music and shared many memorable concerts with Sara over the years, from local venues to major shows. He passed that love of music on to Libby, taking pride in her interest and appreciating the moments he spent listening to her play the saxophone. He made it a point to share those experiences with her, making sure she had the chance to see the artists she loved.
Jason will be remembered for his steady presence, his deep love for his family and friends, and the quiet ways he showed he cared. In recent years, he faced personal challenges with strength and perseverance, carrying more than many could see. It is our hope that those who knew him will remember not only the struggles he bore, but the kindness, depth, and humanity that defined his life.
His family would like to invite friends and family to a gathering at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home in Sheboygan, WI. All visitors are welcome on April 26, 2026, from 11 am until 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made toward a college fund for his daughter, Libby, or to Mental Health America in his memory. The family also encourages acts of kindness and compassion toward those who may be facing struggles of their own.
