Patrick Joseph Renzelmann, age 86, of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin passed away in the comfort of Sharon Richardson with both of his sons at his side, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
Patrick was born on March 17, 1940, in Sheboygan to Paul and Kathryn Renzelmann and was the 4th of 11 children. Patrick attended St. Peter Claver and graduated from Central High School in 1958. He furthered his degree at Lakeland College, where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Education.
Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Navy for six years. Following his service, he dedicated his career to education, teaching in the Howards Grove School District, where he also served as the head football coach for many successful years.
On April 27, 1964 he was united in marriage to the late Judith Meyer and had three children, Michelle, John and Charles.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Patrick especially enjoyed the game of golf. He loved being outdoors and was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. He also enjoyed playing cards along with an occasional game of liar’s dice.
Patrick married Sandra Testwuide on June 4, 2005. They enjoyed many family holidays and get togethers with their blended family.
He is survived by his sons, John (Alyssa) Renzelmann of Sheboygan Falls and Charles Renzelmann of Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Tyler Gordon, Megan Renzelmann, Amanda (Josh) Roeske, Samantha (fiancé Keshaun) Renzelmann, Reagan Renzelmann, Charlotte Renzelmann, John Jr. Renzelmann, Chase Renzelmann, Julia Renzelmann, and Ethan Renzelmann; and his great-grandsons, Bryce Gordon and Wyatt Roeske. He is also survived by his sister, Therese Hardy of West Bend and Sandra’s daughter Liesl Testwuide and son Thomas Testwuide.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Michelle; his wife, Sandra; and his brothers Mike, Paul, Jim, Ted and Steve, and sisters MaryAnn (Louie) Trumm, Celine (Victor) Towler, Katsy (Leroy) Gerk, and Sally (Murlin) Winter.
Patrick will be remembered as a man of quiet strength, steady character, and deep commitment to those around him. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or with family, he led by example—valuing hard work, integrity, and perseverance. He took great pride in the lives he helped shape and the relationships he built over the years.
Family and friends may gather at St. Clement Catholic Church, 707 N. 6th Street in Sheboygan, on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will take place on Monday, May11, 2026 at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by VFW Post #9156.
