On Sunday morning May 17, 2026, we lost our sister and dear friend Corine “Cory” Lynn Hand, at the of age 45. She was born in Sheboygan, WI on November 4, 1980, to the late Thomas and Annie O’Neill Hand.
Cory attended Cascade and Plymouth Public Schools. She was very devoted to her family and friends. Cory was a music lover, especially the Grateful Dead. She also liked sitting by the bonfire, gardening, hiking, and helping every stray critter that crossed her path. Cory loved watching movies, finding any excuse to set off fireworks, and decorating for the holidays.
Survivors include her sisters, MaryJo (Mike) Stumpf, of Tullahoma, TN, Andrea (Bob) Durdin, of Plymouth; and her two nieces, Taylor Stumpf and Angela Eigenberger; a nephew, Brody Stumpf; a sister-in-law, Stacey Hand; and her good friend, Tiffany Ringwell. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Cory was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Bridget Hand, and her brother, Eric Hand.
A private family service will take place at later date.

Dear Bob, to you, your beloved wife Andrea, her sister Mary Jo & the rest of the Hand family...my heartfelt condolences and heaven sent prayers in the loss of Corine. Every death diminishes all of us. It makes us poorer in spirit, robbing us of the insight, wisdom and “presence” unique to the person we lose. There is so much that we do not understand in this lifetime... wherein we all roam as fallen beings, while the Lord's hand is extended for us to walk in the Light as Redeemed beings. The Lord is Sovereign, & ever in control. Cory leaves a devoted and committed life behind - loving her family, friends and all of the "animal friends" that crossed her path in life - needing HER unique touch and help. Your world is quieter without her, but forever brighter because of her. May the Holy Spirit hold & comfort each of you with gentle peace, quiet strength and steadfast love for Cory - and each other.
