Joanne L. Rupar, age 84, of Sheboygan, died on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at her home. She was born in Sheboygan on July 6, 1941, to the late Joseph and Pauline Virant Rupar.
Joanne attended local schools in Sheboygan. She then went to college in Lemount, IL, acquiring a degree in education. Joanne was an art teacher at Rufus King High School in Milwaukee for over twenty years. She was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, K.S.K.J., the choir at church, and the Sheboygan Symphony Chorus.
Joanne enjoyed art, music, playing the organ, and cooking. She also loved her Slovenian heritage, especially the music.
She is survived by many cousins, other relatives, and friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jerry Rupar, and her sister, Jackie Schmidbauer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joanne will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church 822 New Jersey Ave., Sheboygan with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Greendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joanneās name may be directed to Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church.
