Rupp and I met at SHS during our Junior year in "66. We had laughter together and double dated a number of times as I did not have a driver's license at that point. I used to stop in at his father's hardware shop on Calumet Drive just to look around. Rupp "worked" there for the longest time. Pretty much lost track of each other after graduating in '68. I was amazed when I found out much later that he married his date from those years... Linda Bruder! My family and the Bruder family, to me, always felt like family in the first place. And now Rupp was part of the family, too. All in all I will miss him as we were both kind of clowns during our tenure at South High. John L.
