James “Jim” D. Spangle Jr, age75 of Sheboygan passed away unexpectedly due to a stroke on Wednesday morning April 7, 2021. Jim was born in 1946, the son of the late James and Marianne (May) Spangle. He was raised in North Fond du Lac and during the years attended all the local schools. From 1966-1968 Jim served in the United States Army, stationed in Vietnam. He graduated from Moraine Park Technical College in Manufacturing Engineering and then worked at the Kohler Generator Plant for 48 years. In the later years of Jim’s career he was provided the opportunity to work in China. He especially enjoyed his time there working with the local people and learning their culture. This also gave him the opportunity to travel and see areas of the country. Jim was an avid supporter of the Brewers, Bucks and Packers, attending many games. One of Jim’s fondest memories was taking the Military Honor Flight to Washington D.C. with fellow veterans. His son Jeff served as Jim’s guardian so they could share the experience together. He married the late June Allender (Bichler) and together they had three children Kristine (Michael) Ladwig of Sheboygan, Jeffrey (Dawn) Spangle of Sheboygan and Nicole (Brent) Johnson of Cedarburg, this resulted in seven grandchildren: Eric, Trevor and Lukas Ladwig, Samuel and Cole Spangle and Blake and Lacy Johnson. He always enjoyed following them with their sports and activities and always said this kept him feeling young. Jim is further survived by two sisters Sue (Ralph) Warner of Verona, Barbara (Don) Doering of Gurnee, Il, and a brother Mark (Sandy) Spangle of Menasha.
