Ken LaCroix was born on December 21, 1943 and passed away on April 28, 2021 of kidney and heart failure at the age of 77. He graduated from Valders High School. Ken was united in marriage with Kathy Remiker at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clarks Mills, WI on October 31, 1964. During his working years, he was employed by the Kohler Company as a foreman for 38 years. He was also employed by A&M Trees, The Bull at Pinehurst Farms and was part owner of Tents Inc. Ken was a member of the Quarter Century Club, the Old Timers – Sheboygan County, Big Brothers Big Sisters and was a volunteer at Pine Haven Christian Communities. He enjoyed officiating baseball and basketball, playing sheepshead, golfing, fishing, small engine repair and reading books on the Civil War, WWII and American history.
Ken is survived by his wife Kathy “Kate”; children, Kari Madson and Kelley (Miguel) Galeano; grandchildren, Morgan Madson, Mason Madson, Maya Galeano and Marcus Galeano; siblings, Ronald (Bette) LaCroix, Kathleen (Joe) Deignan and Cheryl (Mike) Butz and sisters-in-law, Pat (Joe) Pivonka, Mary (Don) Thompson, Mary Alice LaCroix and June LaCroix. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Hugo LaCroix; siblings, Helen, John, Richard and Paul and nephew, Brian LaCroix.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Ken’s name are appreciated.
