David “Dave” Ott, age 68 of Sheboygan passed away late Sunday evening July 11, 2021. Dave was born May 14, 1953 in Sheboygan to the late Ervin and Carita (Aleff) Ott. He was a 1972 graduate of South High School. Dave worked most of his years at the former Enzo-Pac, now Subco Foods, and he happily retired in 2017. He enjoyed many summers at his home on Lake Alice in Tomahawk, took pride in cooking for his loved ones, enjoyed making others laugh, valued nature, and contributing to social and environmental causes. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Peter Claver Parish, where he served as an usher for many years. Dave was a simple man with a big heart. He will be deeply missed by all that loved him.
Survivors include his brother Michael (Micki) Ott of Nashville, sisters Kathleen Schultz of Sheboygan, Debra Ott of Madison and Patricia (James) Thiel of Sheboygan Falls. Dave was further survived by his nieces and nephews Elizabeth (Tony) DenDekker, Emilee Schultz (Ben Bannier), Benjamin Schultz, Dylan Thiel, Alex Thiel and a great nephew Miles Bannier.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents Arthur (Esther) Aleff and paternal grandparents Frank (Mary) Ott.
Private family services will be held at Holy Cross Mausoleum with Fr. Paul Fliss officiating.
