I am so sorry, I just found out about Steve’s passing. Great fellow LEO, better golfer, better basketball player than me.

My deepest sympathy Cindy. Have thought of you often.

I’m so saddened to hear of your dear husband’s passing, Cindy. May you find comfort in knowing how many lives that he touched-the difference he made as a longtime public servant but, more importantly, your timeless love for one another.

Cindy, I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I have so many good memories of him as our court officer. He always had a smile on his face (even though it made you feel like he was up to something, which he probably was). Please know I am thinking of you. Ellen & Orson Najacht

I will always remember his great sense of humor, his "joke of the day" and truly enjoyed working with him every day when he came over to the DA's office. I can hear his voice as I write this. My deepest Condolence to you, Becky. Your Father , Steve. was a GOOD FRIEND to Sandy and me. My memories go back to Tubby's when we played softball/basketball for Tubby's. I can still see Steve tapping on the bar looking like he was playing the piano to the song of Boogiie Woogie Bllues. I can't believe you're gone. There's a special place in for you my FRIEND.

I'm sad to hear about Steve's passing. I've known him for quite some time and have always enjoyed his sense of humor. He will be missed by the Fishheads, for sure ;-)

Dear Cindy, I was alittle shocked to here about my good friend Steve. We had many years of golf, cards and just hanging out together. He had more golf gadgets than anyone I know and none of them worked. May he rest in peace. I'll miss him.

Cindy and family, so very sorry to hear about Steve's passing. He was such a joy to know and always so nice.

Steve was like a brother when we worked together. Sometimes I leaned on him for support and sometimes he leaned on me. Many times we went up North as a group to let off steam. Those will always be the best times to remember. He was a great athlete, great cop, great father and family always meant alot to him. He always could see what was right in the world and what was wrong. He served a stint in Viet Nam and had the courage to volunteer to go back and serve a second term in SE Asia, that being in Thailand. I take my hat off to anyone with that kind of dedication. Will always miss you Steve as will all members of our family. Mike Hughes

Cindy and family, I’m sorry for your loss, my deepest sympathy. I too enjoyed working with Steve. I remember when I started at the department my office was across the hall from his. One day shortly after I started he heard me say “ oh, shoot”. He came in my office with his gun drawn and asked what I wanted him to shoot! Don’t think I ever said that again. RIP. Steve.
