Jeff Counard was born on November 5, 1960 and went home to be with his Lord on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was united in marriage with Beth Faber/Stoffel on September 14, 1991 in Hartford, WI. During his working years, he was employed by various companies in a maintenance capacity and the last three years at VCY America where he absolutely loved working. Jeff enjoyed deer hunting in Florence County, camping on the shores of Lake Superior, cooking and more than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix and he made a positive impact on anyone and everyone that he met.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Beth; daughter, Emily; stepsons, Nic (Annette) Stoffel and Joel (Amanda) Stoffel; grandchildren, Rylee, Liam, Delani, Caleb and Rowan Stoffel; siblings, Jeane Counard (Jeff Smiley), Don (Sara) Counard, Debbie (Rich) Splinter and Sherril (Gary) Kopkau. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Rita Counard and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 at Immanuel Bible Church, 2428 Superior Ave., Sheboygan, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue at church on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 5:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VCY America or the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago, IL.

We got to know Jeff (and Emily) at the VCY Days of Praise. We thank the Lord for Jeff's tremendous witness of faith and trust in the God of the Bible. I'm very sorry for your loss and have been praying to our God to bring you his comfort and peace. I first met Jeff at VCY days-of-praise couple years ago and since then I always looked forward seeing him there or at trailridge camp. I thank God for giving the chance to meet him. After he told me his testimony on how our Lord brought him to VCY he has been a inspiration to me. I know he loved the outdoors as do I and will miss our talks about our adventures in them. My heart is heavy for you all in the Counard family. I'm so glad for the few years we got to spend with Jeff here at VCY America. His attitude was always cheerful and his demeanor was always humble. A true servant's heart on display every single day. I will miss the times he came into my office, just to talk. It was refreshing to take a break and talk about the cares of the day. Jeff would always input the hope we have in Christ in those talks. I KNOW he is now fully known in his savior. What a great guy. Thank you Lord for the example of Jeff and his servant's heart.
Jeff was such a kind and humble servant to the Lord. He was understanding about a great many things, and I'll cherish all the conversations we've ever had. ❤ His heart was golden & now he walks on streets of gold with his Savior. Thank you Jesus for giving Jeff to us for this short time.

Mike and I would like to extend our condolences to the Counard family. By all measures, Jeff was a kind, gentle person and an inspiration to others. I know he will be sorely missed by all those who knew him. If there’s any comfort to be had, it’s knowing that he is in a better place now, watching over his loved ones.

Dear Beth and family: I am unable to attend the funeral because I no longer drive at night. But we are bonded in the Lord and I will be there in spirit. I will miss Jeff but thankful for so many good memories of both of you! I know God's grace and comfort are there with you.

My brother in Christ, Jeff Counard, walked in front of all of us with a life dedicated to serving Christ and trusting Him for the results. Our family learned so much from your godly example, great smile and warm personality. It’s unbelievable you will not be worshipping with us at church, but there isn’t a doubt you are near the front right now enjoying seeing the glory of Christ!! You’ll definitely be one of the first that I look for when I reach that Heavenly Shore! Your walk was so important in helping Beth have a huge smile on her face. We will miss you my dear friend!! I looked out at you last Sunday during worship and was thankful you were there with us. It’s such a comfort knowing that your worship today is before the Throne of God above!!!!
