Dale R. Spindler, 76, of Sheboygan, passed away on January 7, 2023 at his home. Dale was born to the late Norman and Elsa (Schneider) Spindler on June 28, 1946 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He graduated from Kiel High School in 1965. Dale was united in marriage to Bonnie Neese on April 27, 1968 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. At the age of 18 he started working at Kohler Co. and later owned and operated his own restaurant, Spindler’s Café, in Sheboygan. He also managed Cousins Subs in Sheboygan. His favorite job, though, was working for Prigge’s School Bus Service. He greatly enjoyed driving the 4K kids to and from school. In his younger years, Dale played baseball for Kohler Company, basketball and volleyball in local men’s leagues and was in a barber shop quartet. More recently, he loved sitting outside watching others in the neighborhood do their yardwork. He was a huge lifelong Packers fan and was very proud of all his grandkids.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Bonnie; children, Dawn (Mark) Wirtz and Candra (Joe) Krause; grandkids, Trent, Tyler, Hailey, Nicholas, Allyson, Kayla, Emilee, Julia, Charlie, William; siblings, Robert (Violet) Spindler, Earl (Delores) Spindler, Darlene (Lloyd) Rumpff, Glen Spindler, Roger Spindler, Jane (Duane) Enders and Janice (Frank) Hollenberger. He is further survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman (Shirley) Spindler Jr.; sister Karen (Allen) Hellmer; sisters-in-law, Karen Spindler and Lois Spindler as well as other in-laws and family members.
A memorial service will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave., Kohler, with visitation from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:30 p.m. Entombment will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his name.
