Candace “Candie” J. Orth, age 73, of Sheboygan, died on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center. She was born in Florida on July 17, 1949.
Candie attended local schools in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1968. On September 19, 1970, she was united in marriage to Thomas Orth at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Candie was employed at Urban Middle School as a teacher’s assistant for 30 years, retiring in 2011.
She was a current member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Candie enjoyed baking cookies and watching cooking shows, reading, playing cribbage with Tom, watching her grandchildren play sports, and dog sitting “Toby”.
Survivors include her husband, Tom, of Sheboygan; a daughter, Melissa (Kevin) Krutzik, of Howards Grove; two grandchildren, George Krutzik, of Howards Grove, and Katrina (fiancée Ryan Moritz) Krutzik, of Illinois; four brothers, Larry (Kris) Weber, of Florida, Jim (Barb) Weber, Steve (Colleen) Weber, and Mike Swetlick, all of Manitowoc; her sister, Cathy (Mark) Moran, of Iola; two sisters-in-law, Mary Shulander, of Manitowoc, and Kathy (Roger) Siebold, of De Pere. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Candie was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mildred and Raymond Orth, a brother-in-law, Arthur Orth, and a nephew, Andy Weber.
A celebration of life for Candie will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name. A special thank you is extended to the Aurora at Home Hospice, and the caregivers, Jason, Jayne, and Tanya, for the compassion and care that was given to her.

I was so sorry to hear of Candie's passing! She was a sweet, kind, wonderful angel whom I had the privilege of knowing over the past few years. Tom always took such good care of her! I will miss seeing her in the front pew at church!
I'm heart broken I just found out about Mrs. Orth and would like to attend the funeral to say goodbye to her she was an awesome woman. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

I will be thinking of the times you were a helper at Urban in Mr. Neeb's gym class, how you made me laugh on things you did to make gym class fun, and having memories that will be in my heart and I will never forget those 3 years I had with you. It's something I will always remember about you and also your friendly personality I will miss you.

Oh my…I’m deeply saddened hearing about Candie’s passing. We had just made plans for me to visit when I returned from Florida. Long time friends are held dear to the heart. Love you Tom and Missy!
