I was the secretary at Washington Elementary School for twenty-one years. Elaine Kuck was our fifth grade teacher. She was my son's fifth grade teacher. We all loved her. She was an excellent teacher and friend. I wondered where she had been recently.

Miss Kuck was my 4th-grade teacher and I loved her. She was kind to all and knew how to make learning enjoyable. One very special memory I have has to do with gold stars. Miss Kuck was the first teacher I had, to put up an incentive chart in the classroom where students could earn a gold star each time they passed a multiplication timed test. I worked so hard until I had as many stars as possible. She knew how to get students to work for her! RIP Miss Kuck

My deepest sympathy to all of you in the death of Elaine. I had the privilege of teaching with Elaine at Washington School. Her dedication to her students was most admirable. The staff always enjoyed when Christmas time was near and Elaine would bring her delicious chocolates. One of my favorites was Bucky Balls, which she shared the recipe with me. Prayers and hugs for all of you.

My sympathy to your family. I had Miss Kuck as my teacher at Washington school in the early 70’s. She was a wonderful teacher with a heart of gold. Praying for your family.
