Adele A. Wiese

Adele A. Wiese, of Sheboygan, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Pine Haven Christian Communities in Sheboygan Falls at the age of 101. She was born in Van Hook, North Dakota on August 30, 1921, to Louis and Emilie (nee Hebert) Lehner. She was the youngest of eight children.
Adele graduated from Fond du Lac’s Goodrich High School in 1939. She held various office and bookkeeping jobs after graduation. She was united in marriage to Harvey Wiese at St. Joseph Parish in Fond du Lac on July 18, 1945. Harvey preceded her in death in 1994. Adele was a homemaker, then took a position as an audit manager at Sears and Roebuck Department Store in Sheboygan, retiring in 1986.
Adele was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Sheboygan. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, knitting, old fashioneds, and fish fries. She had a sly sense of humor, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Wiese, of Sheboygan Falls, and sons, James Wiese, of Stevens Point, Steven (Victoria) Wiese, of Sheboygan, and Scott (Jenny) Wiese, of Grafton; grandchildren, Joshua Crook (Lyn Kream), of Milwaukee, Justin Crook and Brett Wiese of Sheboygan, Benjamin (Lauren) Wiese of Sun Prairie, and Emilee Wiese of Grafton; and great-grandchildren, Jennah Wood, Ian and Taylor Crook, and Iris Adele Wiese. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Adele was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, and an infant daughter, Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Adele will be celebrated on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan. Family and friends may gather at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac at a later date with family present.
Adele’s family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Pine Haven Christian Communities and Heartland/ProMedica Hospice. Together, their compassionate care and respect for Adele as her needs changed gave her comfort, and her family peace of mind.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Adele’s name to Meals on Wheels.
