Alan Pittner was born on April 4, 1953 and passed away suddenly on March 26, 2021 at the age of 67 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School with the class of 1972. During his working years, he was employed by Polar Ware Co. for 42 years until his retirement in 2015.
Alan had many hobbies and interests. He was a star running back on a top-notch football team. Go Sheboygan North Golden Raiders! One of his fondest memories was playing high school football at Lambeau Field. He was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. His daughters also enjoyed watching him on his bowling team, remembering fun times at North Bowl and selling a record amount of Girl Scout Cookies and candy bars. When his daughters were little, they enjoyed walking across the street to Evergreen Park to go cross country skiing. He loved coaching his daughters in basketball and softball. It was such a joy for him to see them and their teammates grow and succeed. Fishing on Lake Michigan with his dad and brothers brought him great joy. Alan was also an avid golfer, who looked forward to outings with his brothers and son-in-laws.
Alan adored his grandchildren and they adored him. He was always excited for every opportunity to spend time with them. Ollie couldn’t wait to go to the park and fish with Grandpa. Corrine loved having Grampy around, so he could gently comb her hair. Avalynn was always ecstatic when she knew Grandpa was taking her to dance. Eleanor could not wait to tell Grandpa what happened or what she learned at school that day. Vivian loved running errands with Grandpa, picking up lunch, and playing at his house.
Alan was an incredibly generous, thoughtful, and selfless man. We will cherish all the wonderful blessings we experienced together. In times of sadness, these memories will carry us through.
Alan is survived by his children, Kylene (Stan) Lichucki and Ashley (Wes) Hagerman; grandchildren, Olliver and Corrine Lichucki and Avalynn, Eleanor and Vivian Hagerman; siblings, Jeff (Barb) Pittner, Steven (Colleen) Pittner, Patti (Peter) Traas, Philip (Holly) Pittner, Paul (Sue) Pittner and MaryBeth (Tim) Felsinger and godchildren, Kayla Pittner and Jake Felsinger. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2136 N. 21st St., Sheboygan, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. Masks are required, and social distancing will be observed for those attending. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Corrine Pittner.
A memorial fund has been established in Alan’s name.
