Alfred “Al” F.H. Reinbacher, age 89, of Sheboygan, died on Monday, September 6, 2021, at his home. He was born in Sheboygan on June 24, 1932, the son of the late Alfred and Elfriede (Oesterwind) Reinbacher.
He attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1950. Al was employed as a printer for what was then Lakeshore Press, and then became Franzen Litho-Screen in Sheboygan until his retirement after 40 years. He was in the U.S. Navy Reserves and retired after 20 years of service to his country.
He was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Al enjoyed kayaking, hot air balloons, Segway riding and taking flight lessons. He was known to be a kind and generous man and always had a joke on hand to put a smile on someone’s face.
Survivors include his daughter, Christine (Dave) Musser; grandson, Bennett Musser, all of Round Lake, IL and his sister-in-law, Jean Reinbacher, of Fond du Lac. He is further survived by his nieces, other relatives, and friends. Al was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Manfred Reinbacher.
A memorial service for Alfred will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Ave. Sheboygan with Rev. Patrick Niles officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Monday afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in the Town of Wilson with VFW Post 9156 providing full military honors.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Al’s name and may be directed to Sheboygan Lutheran High School.
Thank you to Melissa Fitzgerald for coming over weekly. We truly appreciate your generosity in time and we know Al came to love your visits.
The Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reinboldfh.com
