Allen Nowak was born on July 2, 1935 in Sheboygan, WI and died on March 22, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay where he was recently a patient. Allen was united in marriage with Janice Klunk at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church on August 4, 1956 where he was a lifelong member. During his working years, he was employed by Vinyl Plastics and retired in 2001 after 45 years of service. In addition to his dedication to Vinyl Plastics, he also was a bartender for many years at Peteks Tavern. Allen was an avid Plymouth dirt track fan, always stopping at Chester’s beforehand. He also a fan of stock car and NASCAR racing and wrestling. Allen enjoyed and looked forward to the Senior Meal Site at Bethany Church. One of his favorite pastimes was getting his full head of hair cut every six weeks at almost the age of 90. You could always count on Allen to help if you needed a hand.
Allen is survived by his three children, Ann (Dale) DeBlaey, of Sheboygan Falls, Deb (Mike) Develski, of Plymouth, and Nancy (Steve) Schroeter, of Sheboygan; three grandchildren, Amy (David) Cooper, of Three Rivers, MI, Christopher Puddy, of Sheboygan, and Ashley DeBlaey, of Miami, FL; a great-grandchild, James Cooper, Three River, MI; and brother, Bernie Nowak, of Sheboygan. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; parents Leonard (Louise) Nowak; infant daughter, Catherine Nowak; in laws, John and Helen (Godard) Klunk; sister, Bernice DenDecker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Sharon) Klunk, Gene (Donna) Klunk, Clifford Klunk and MaryAnn Bellinder. He is further preceded by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th St. Sheboygan, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials my be made in Allen’s name.
The family would like to extend a thank you to ICU Team at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay for all the compassion and care during his stay, and a special thanks to his friends Mike & Stephanie as he enjoyed the time spent going to breakfast with them.
