Alvin Grovogel was born on July 13, 1935 and passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 88. On January 28, 1983 he was united in marriage with JoAn. Alvin proudly served in the United States Navy for 12 ½ years in the Pacific aboard the USS Whitehurst. He then went on to serve with the Seabees for 4 years.
Alvin is survived by his wife, Jo An; children, Tonya (Dan) Kemmling of Colorado Springs, CO and Carl (Susan) Grovogel of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren, Tiffani (Mick) Blackwell, Stephanie (Mike) Zwak and Cassandra (Nick) Sperl and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy; parents, Roy and Lettie Grovogel and siblings, Erlene Grovogel and Oliver Grovogel.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
