Our beloved mother, Beatriz Sarabia, age 63, went to be with our Lord on April 9, 2021. She was born on June 21, 1957 in San Antonio, TX to the late Victoriano T. Sarabia Sr. and Gloria F. Sarabia. Beatriz went to St. Cyril and Methodius School and graduated from Sheboygan South High School with the class of 1975. She then relocated to Southern California where she worked at Montgomery Ward. Beatriz enlisted in the US Army in 1981 where she served for 12 years and was stationed in Massachusetts, California, Hawaii, Korea, Washington, Germany and Texas. After leaving the Army she was employed as a clerk at the United States Postal Service. Beatriz enjoyed music, dancing, yard work and more than anything, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Beatriz is survived by her children, Antonio Guy Johnson and Sandra Marie Elizabeth Kenly; grandchildren, Alanya Giselle Johnson and Maxwell Centauri Johnson (their mother, Shannon Buboltz); siblings, Ninfa (Willard) Houseye, Felix (Wanda) Sarabia and Lorenzo (Julie) Sarabia and best friend forever, Patricia Jean Barron. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Beatriz is preceded in death by her parents, Victoriano T. Sarabia Sr. and Gloria F. Sarabia and siblings, Consuelo Sarabia, Guadalupe Merkel and Victoriano Sarabia Jr. She is further preceded in death by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with words of remembrance and military honors to follow.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU nurses and Palliative Care Team at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medial Center and Dr. Verma, Dr. Brooks, Dr. Kaur and Dr. DeTrana for their care of Beatriz.
