Bette Jo (Presutti) Mikalowsky, 77, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born to Roger and Carol (Steinbruecker) Presutti on January 25, 1945. Bette was united in marriage to Philip John Mikalowsky on August 22, 1970. After retirement Bette joined the Grant School Family and assisted with lunch hour for several years. Bette enjoyed helping her grandchildren during their time at the school as well all of the other children. She was passionate about organizing potlucks and managing the community calendar and the neighbor greeting card program at Regency Apartments. She walked frequently and enjoyed the outdoors. Bette often spent time cooking and crafting. Bette was a friend to many and was deeply loved. She will be missed.
Bette is survived by her children, Jennifer Bscherer (Glenn), Mathew Mikalowsky, Tonya Lohse (Gene) and Amanda Huerta (Fred); grandchildren, Paige Kuffel (David), Taija Ernst (Anthony), Philip “P.J.” Doyle, Chance Hoyt, Jairet Mikalowsky and Kaiden Mikalowsky, Natalie Huerta, Logan Huerta; great-grandchildren, Maizy Ernst, Archer Ernst and Beau Kuffel; siblings, William Presutti (Marilyn) and Barbara Cook and beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Mikalowsky; parents, Roger and Carol Presutti, Carol (Beck) Presutti; sister, Kathlynn Ferguson.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, with Rev. Bill TeWinkle of Hope Church officiating. There will be a time for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Condolences may be expressed online at www.reinboldfh.com.
Bette had much appreciation and many thanks to Dr. Matthews and the nurses and staff in that office as well as all the nurses at St. Nicholas Hospital. The family would also like to thank the staff at Sharon Richardson for the comfort and support they offered. In lieu of flowers Bette suggested donations be made to Sharon Richardson Hospice and the Sheboygan County Cancer Care Fund.
