remembering all the fun times spent with Bob and Mary

Mary, Sorry to hear about Bob's passing, cancer sucks. I just received a no cancer result after my treatment, unfortunately not everyone is that lucky. Bob was a funny guy on the volleyball court and my favorite two words from him were "Christ Guys!" being said the only way Bob could possible say those two words. Glad he finally married you!! PLease take care of yourself

James Conlin

Wonderful guy. Fun to play tennis with. Class act on court.

Frank Noordover

I was shocked to hear the news today of Bob's passing! My father and I enjoyed spending time with Bob (and the other "old-time" soccer players) when my father was in town from Florida. We will miss him! I'm so very sorry for your loss, we will keep you in our prayers.

Our deepest sympathy to you, Mary. We were very saddened, and shocked, to see the notice at the Sports Core concerning his death. (We had seen him playing tennis just the week before, and playing very, very well.) Bob, and you are in our prayers! Bob was so kind to play tennis with our daughter, Dana, when she was in high school during the 1980’s. She loved playing with him and thought he was a wonderful person.

I played tennis with Bob in Elkhart and Kohler. It was alwasy fun and challenging as he wanted to win. Fun to play with and always posiitve and encouranging saying I played GREAT. or he would say great shot Jan! He will be missed next time I play. Best of luck working on your backhand in Heaven Bob! My Sincerest sympathy and My thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless you with His peace and comfort. ❤️

It was a joy to see Bob at the Sports Core, he was always upbeat and greeted you like you were a family member. You could really get Bob going talking politics and he had that Arnold Swarzeneger type accent that highlighted our conversations. I always looked forward to seeing him.

Art Santos

My condolences to you Mary. He will truly be missed but has left with all of us great memories such as his love of sports, his reading of the giant stacks of newspapers he had, his love of his sister's Czech cooking, the laugh he had when Bob hit a tennis winner (or a cuss word when he didn't), and his ability to become lifelong friends to many of us who were fortunate to have known him. Thank you Bob.
