Catherine Jo Retzack, age 68, of Sheboygan, died on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born in Plymouth on September 9, 1953, the daughter of the late John and June Schular Staples.
She attended local schools in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1971. Catherine was then united in marriage to Thomas Retzack in 1984 at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sheboygan.
She was employed at the Kohler Company as a design coordinator for twenty years. Catherine enjoyed knitting, needle point, traveling, puzzles, and her furry companion, “Bishop”.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Retzack, of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Dr. Susan Retzack, of Brookfield; aunt, Barb Staples; and her cousins, Vicki Sumner, of Fond du Lac, Sara Daggett, of Bolder Junction, Drew Staples, Pat Wyskocil, of California and Diane Greenlees, of Illinois. She is also survived by her half-siblings, John (Tasha) Staples, Cindy (Dan) Miller, Tom Staples, Don Staples, and Ron (Char) Staples, all of northern Wisconsin. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Walter and Lillie Schuler, aunts, Marie Badel, Margaret Schuler and Evelyn Kretsch, and her uncle, Elroy Schuler.
A graveside service Catherine will take place at St. John Cemetery in Elkhart Lake at a later date.
