Charles “Chuck” L. Smith Jr., age 55, passed unexpectedly on November 17, 2024 surrounded by his family. Chuck was born in Sheboygan on June 9, 1969 to Evelyn (Gannigan) and the late Charles L. Smith Sr.
He attended Sheboygan area schools. Chuck was a free spirit and was funny, loving, adventurous and had a kind heart. He found a way to see humor in everything. Chuck was proud of his Native American heritage. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and riding his bicycle.
Chuck is survived by his daughter, Lydia Smith; grandchildren, Prince, Legend and Willow; mother, Evelyn Smith; siblings, Linda Smith, Jesse (Kim) Smith and Donald Smith; nieces Amanda, Vanessa and Ashlynn (Dan) and many great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He will also be fondly remembered by his life-long friend, Steve Fredrich.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles; grandson, Sebastian and grandparents, Leslie and Delores Gannigan and Clifford and Lillian Smith.
A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1121 Georgia Avenue, Sheboygan, with Pastor Patrick Niles officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:30 p.m. at church.
The family would like to thank Bethlehem Lutheran Church for their support through this difficult time.
