Charlotte Rudie, a very kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend went home to the Lord on April 19, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born on May 24, 1940 to the late James and Goldie Novak. She attended local schools including Sheboygan Central High School. On May 31, 1958 Charlotte was united in marriage with Norman A. Rudie Jr. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She worked many years in childcare and was also the owner of Shadows Corner. Charlotte was a people person and enjoyed playing games with her family and was often the instigator of shenanigans and pranks. She also enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers with Sassy Kitty on her lap, and more than anything, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Kim (Jeff) Goetz, Brenda Vertz and Connie (Ty) Conrad; grandchildren, Nichole (Curt) Dunnam, Crystal Lawrence (Ryan Mootz), Jason (Ericka) Goetz, Justin (Stephanie) Goetz, Jocilynn (Steven) Culver, Marisa Vertz (Victor Hughes), Elizabeth (Harsh Pareek) Conrad and Anthony “A.J.” Conrad; greatgrandchildren, Ian Dunnam, Maxwell Dunnam, Jordan Goetz, Carter Lawrence, Claire Lawrence, Jace Roseberry, Jillian Goetz, Mason Culver, Eli Culver and Serena Pareek and siblings, MaryAnn Wentz and Betty Hutchison. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Norman A. Rudie Jr.; siblings, Jerry Novak, James “Jimmy” Novak and LaVerne “Vernie” Novak and parents, James and Goldie Novak.
Per Charlotte’s wishes a private family celebration has been held in her honor.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the ER nurses, especially Katherine, as well as the nurses, doctors and hospice care at St. Nicholas Hospital for their kind and loving care given to Charlotte.
