Constance Ann Braatz (Connie), age 71, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, with family by her side. She was born on August 3, 1953, to Richard and Grace (Sutherland) Waters in Fond du Lac, WI. Connie was one of eleven children and a loving mother of three.

Connie lived a life marked by perseverance, strength and resilience. Throughout her years, Connie faced much pain and hardship, including the loss of her only daughter, Stacey. Her determination to assist in raising her grandson, Ethan, after her daughter’s untimely death was her driving force to continue to battle through many medical problems. Connie was also a devoted mother to her two sons and a wonderful grandmother to her many grandchildren.

Known for her kindness, generosity, and sweet disposition, Connie had a heart that always remained open and forgiving. Whether offering a listening ear or providing support in times of need, she touched the lives of many with her compassion. She loved to give her grandchildren sweets and spoil them with special gifts. She was a devoted sister and remained close with her siblings throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Cedric (Anita) Braatz and Nathan (Stacey) Braatz, her grandchildren: Alec, Alena, Jacob, Jada, Alfredo, Hannah, Derek, Alexis, Ethan, Caiden, Ricardo, Wisdom, Fabian, Mel, Cyan and Avaya and great grandchildren Wade and Milo. She is also survived by her brothers: Richard, Bart, Greg, Steve and Amory and her sisters: Marti, Bonnie, Nancy, Cathy and Cindy as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved. Connie was preceded in death by her daughter Stacey Lynn Braatz, her husband Dennis Braatz, her mother Grace Waters and her father Richard Waters.

A memorial service will be held at a later date when all of her family members can be present to celebrate her life.
