Dale Scott Damrow, age 61, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 7, surrounded by his family. Dale was born November 6, 1962, in Sheboygan, WI, to his late father Glenn, and mother Vernetta (Schuh) Damrow. Dale was a plumbing designer and was employed by AECOM; he retired from Christopher Kidd and Associates in 2023. On September 19, 1987, Dale married the love of his life, Sharon.

Dale participated in many recreational activities. He played softball for 29 years until his cancer diagnosis. Dale was a huge racing fan, which started in his late teens with flat-track three-wheeler racing. After 10 years of participating in motocross and three-wheeler racing, he started racing stock cars at Plymouth and Manitowoc with his brother for 14 years. He also enjoyed miniature bowling, golfing, disc golf, and skiing/snowboarding with his family.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sharon (Bergemann) Damrow; children Jessica of Salem Lakes, WI, Derek (significant other Kristen Gawronski) of Beloit, WI, and Matthew of Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by his mother Vernetta, siblings Michael (Cynthia) Damrow, Jeffery (Dawn) Damrow, all of Sheboygan, WI, and Karen (Gary) Kummerow of Elkhart Lake, as well as many friends and family members who loved him dearly.

Dale is preceded in death by his father, Glenn, and brother Don.

A celebration of Dale’s wonderful life will be held on Friday July 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon at Reinbold Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street Sheboygan.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Matthew and his staff for all the wonderful care and support they have given Dale, Dr. Pasquini, and the Froedtert Hospital Cancer Center for the compassion they showed Dale during his treatments. The family would also like to thank Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for supporting and caring to ensure Dale was comfortable. Lastly, the family wants to give a very special thank you to all the unsung heroes who have participated in countless clinical trials to develop the medications that have helped prolong Dale’s life.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Blood Center of Wisconsin, Sheboygan Cancer Society, or Kathy’s House at Froedtert Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reinboldfh.com.
