Darlene Garbisch, age 87 of Sheboygan passed away Tuesday May 7, 2024. Darlene was born October 24, 1936, in Sheboygan to the late Harris and Gertrude (Witzke) Kohls. Darlene attended Franklin and Mapledale School prior to graduating from Central High School. She was united in marriage to Vernon Garbisch in 1956, he preceded her in death on April 19, 2021. Darlene enjoyed sewing, drawing, reading and shopping.
Survivors include her three sons Mike Garbisch of the town of Sheboygan Falls, Terry Garbisch and David Garbisch both of Sheboygan, daughter Shelley (Ben) Nelson of DeForest, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two sisters and a brother Nona Miller of Sheboygan, Jack (Jean) Kohls of Sheboygan and Karen (Arnie) Hoeppner of Sheboygan.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Family and friends may gather at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan on Wednesday May 15, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Lorri Steward from Ebeneezer United Church of Christ will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Greenlawn Mausoleum.
