David C. Shaffer died unexpectedly at his home in Sheboygan on Sunday, January 31st, 2021. Born on October 2, 1960, in Chicago, David was the son of Robert and Carol (Vandre) Shaffer. Dave grew up in Illinois and Wisconsin and graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1979. Dave later attended Lakeshore Technical College where he received two Associate degrees. Dave worked at Tecumseh Products and Piggly Wiggly. More recently, he was a local cab driver.
Dave held a black belt in Judo and played bass guitar. He enjoyed photography, music, vintage movies, and cooking. Dave will be remembered for his creativity, love of learning, and warm sense of humor.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Shaffer, of Sheboygan; a son, Nicholas, of Racine; and a grandson, Ethan. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Shaffer.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held later this year.
