Delbert Daehn was born in Sheboygan on July 8, 1931 and passed away on February 27, 2021 at the age of 89. He attended local schools and graduated from Central High School. Delbert proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage with Diane Lienau in Sheboygan on December 15, 1962. During his working years he was employed by Garton Toy, R-Way and retired as a Sheboygan firefighter in 1988 after 25 years of service. Delbert was a Wisconsin DNR hunter education instructor for 30 years and a member of the Farmers and Sportsmen Conservation Club. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed spending time up north with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
Delbert is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Carrie (Lawrence) Strassburg, Jeffrey (Michelle) Daehn, Jessica (Jim) Meidl and Craig Daehn and grandchildren, Hanna and Jared Meidl, Nathan and Ryan Strassburg and Sean and Erik Daehn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Elzena Daehn and brothers, Donald and Clifford.
A private family service will be held at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
