Diana L. Cooper, age 72, of Rothschild, formerly of Sheboygan, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center. She was born on November 29, 1949, the daughter of the late Frank and Lorraine Reichardt Kolenc.
She attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School. Diana was employed at Leverenz Shoe Company for many years, and at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, Hardee’s, and Schneider Cheese Factory in Waldo. She was also a past member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
Diana enjoyed berry and hickory nut picking, gardening, and adult coloring books. She loved spending time outdoors, especially at Land O’ Lakes, and she adored her cats, Pippy and Baby. Diana also had a great sense of humor like her father.
Survivors include her children, Carrie (Brian) Tayse, of Rothschild, Scott (Junko) Cooper, of Hawaii, and Tracy (David) Ireland, of Madison; a granddaughter, Serenity Tayse, of Rothschild; her brother, Ron (Caryl) Kolenc, of Sheboygan; and two, step-grandsons, Rowan, and Finley Wentz. She further survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, and her long-time partner, Jerome Hiebing.
A memorial service for Diana will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan with Rev. Jeremy Hylen officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.
